Best Species to Target This Week

Largemouth Bass

Fish for Largemouth Bass this week in 5-15 feet of water over a rocky bottom using a crankbait. A slow retrieve with a stop-and-go action should encourage a strike at 10 feet.

Channel Catfish

Fish for Channel Catfish this week in 10-20 feet of water over a muddy bottom using cut bait. A steady retrieve with a erratic twitch action will attract bites near structure.

Black Crappie

Fish for Black Crappie this week in 6-12 feet of water over submerged trees using jigs. A gentle lift and drop retrieval with a subtle action will entice hungry fish.

Best Times to be on the Water This Week

Largemouth Bass

Due to improving weather and stable water conditions, Largemouth Bass will be actively feeding in the mid-day. 11 AM – 2 PM will be the optimal time to target this species.

Channel Catfish

With weather warming and evening activity increasing, Channel Catfish will be sheltering in deep water during the warmest part of the day. Evening hours from 4 PM – 7 PM will be ideal.

Black Crappie

Given the mild conditions, Black Crappie will be feeding in the shallows during the late afternoon. Fish between 3 PM – 6 PM for the best success.
