Best Species to Target This Week

Largemouth Bass

Fish for Largemouth Bass this week in 5-10 feet of water over a mix of rocky and submerged structure using a plastic worm. A slow retrieve with erratic action should encourage a strike at this depth.

Black Crappie

Target Black Crappie in 8-12 feet of water near brush piles using minnows. A slow trolling action with a jigging motion should attract bites in these spots.

Bluegill

Fish for Bluegill in 2-5 feet of water over sandy bottoms using small jigs or live bait. A cast and retrieve with a gentle bobbing action will entice these panfish.

Best Times to Be on the Water This Week

Largemouth Bass

Due to improving weather and water conditions, Largemouth Bass will be actively feeding in the early morning and late evening. 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM will be the optimal time to target this species.

Black Crappie

With consistent temperatures and a waxing moon phase, Black Crappie will be feeding actively in the late morning. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM is the best time to target them.

Bluegill

As the weather clears, Bluegill will be more active in the afternoons. 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM will be ideal for fishing for these tasty fish.
