Best Species to Target This Week
Largemouth Bass
Fish for largemouth bass this week in 5-10 feet of water over a rocky bottom using a soft plastic worm. A slow retrieve with a twitching action should encourage a strike at mid-depths.
Blue Catfish
Target blue catfish in 15-20 feet of water over a muddy bottom using live bait. A steady retrieve with a slight bounce should entice bites near the bottom.
Black Crappie
Find black crappie in 4-8 feet of water over submerged structures using small jigs. A slow jigging action should attract strikes in the shallows.
Best Times to Be on the Water This Week
Largemouth Bass
Due to generally warm temperatures and stable water conditions, largemouth bass will be actively feeding in the early morning and late evening. 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM will be the optimal time to target this species.
Blue Catfish
With steady water temperatures, blue catfish will be sheltering in deeper water during the day but can be active during twilight hours. 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM will be the best time to fish for them.
Black Crappie
Given the current conditions, black crappie will be feeding heavily during the early morning and after sunset. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM will be prime time for anglers targeting this species.
