Best Species to Target This Week
Largemouth Bass
Fish for Largemouth Bass this week in 5-10 feet of water over a rocky bottom using a topwater lure. A slow retrieve with a walking action should encourage a strike at early morning or late evening.
Bluegill
Target Bluegill in 3-6 feet of water over sandy areas using a small jig or worm. A steady retrieve with a twitching action will increase your chances of catching these feisty fish.
Channel Catfish
Channel Catfish are active in 8-12 feet of water over a muddy bottom using cut bait or stink bait. A slow bounce along the bottom will entice bites at night.
Best Times to Be on the Water This Week
Largemouth Bass
Due to warming temperatures and clear skies, Largemouth Bass will be actively feeding in the early morning and late evening. The optimal time to target them is from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Bluegill
With the sunny conditions, Bluegill will be feeding in the shallows during mid-morning. Aim for the best catch between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Channel Catfish
Thanks to stable water conditions, Channel Catfish will be feeding primarily at night. The best time is from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
