Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King is hosting our first annual catfish and largemouth bass fishing contest. Up for grabs is a grand prize of $1000!

Additionally, for any two or more night stay through 3/9/25 including motel rooms, cabins, and RV sites, guests get one free entry in the contest. What’s the catch? There is always a catch…
The catch is… we fully expect you to fall in love with our resort, tell everyone you know, and come back again and again. We also like doing nice things for good people. Hurry, as the contest only runs through Sunday, March 9th, 2025.
Contest Rules
- Target species include any species of catfish (channel, blue, flathead) and largemouth bass. Hybrid, white, striper and other bass species are not included in the contest.
- Separate $1000 grand prize and runner-up awarded for longest recorded fish in each category, catfish and largemouth bass, in inches.*
- Runner-up gets a free 2 night stay (same class of accommodation as original booking and completed by August 31, 2025).
- Any entry from a child 12 and under will win a special prize (with parent's written permission to post).
- Strike and battle (hopefully), landing (required) and measure (required) in inches will be videoed in single take.*
- All participants give Relaxed Retreat permission to post all or part of submitted videos online.
- Catches and videos must be on Lake Marion and time stamped during or after your paid stay with us, but before 3/9/25.
- Contest is open only to paid guests of Relaxed Retreat.
