Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King is hosting our first annual catfish contest. Up for grabs is a grand prize of $1000! Now through February, 2025 get 25% off any stay in one of our 20+ lakefront cabins. Use coupon code “catfishfeb25” in your booking to get 25% off the cost of your stay! Additionally, for any two or more night stay through 2/28/25 including motel rooms, cabins, and RV sites, guests get one free entry in the contest. What’s the catch? There is always a catch…
The catch is… we fully expect you to fall in love with our resort, tell everyone you know, and come back again and again. We also like doing nice things for good people. Hurry, as the contest only runs through Friday, February 28th, 2025.
Contest Rules
- Grand prize of $1,000 awarded for longest recorded catfish in inches.
- Runner up gets a free 2 night stay (same class of accommodation as original booking and completed by August 31, 2025).
- Any entry from a child 12 and under will win a special prize (with parent's written permission to post).
- Strike and battle (hopefully), landing (required) and measure (required) in inches will be videoed in single take.
- All participants give Relaxed Retreat permission to post all or part of submitted videos online.
- Catches and videos must be on Lake Marion and time stamped during or after your paid stay with us, but before 2/28/25.
- Contest is open only to paid guests of Relaxed Retreat.
*Entrants must be 18 years or older as of the date of selection for the contest. This is a subjective selection made by the owners of Relaxed Retreat LLC. The selected winners will not have a previous relationship with any owners of Relaxed Retreat LLC. Participants who don’t win the grand prize will be given a promotional discount, so everybody who enters will get something for their effort. The winners must select their stay dates within 10 days of notification. The prize portion of the stay must be completed by Feb 28, 2025. The promotional value, for tax purposes, of the three grand prizes is $0.01. Rescheduling may be allowed with notice, but the stay will still conclude by February 28,2025.
